Never seen one before? Neither had we! But thanks to the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, our elementary students had the chance to try this unique fruit during snack time this week.

Each Tuesday and Thursday, students across our elementary schools receive a free fresh fruit or vegetable snack while learning about healthy foods and new flavors.

To continue the learning at home, students brought home a red kiwi activity sheet. This month’s activity sheet was created by Toppenish High School Senior, Carol Eppinette, during Adopt-A-Senior Day.  Let’s give Carol a big round of applause for helping create a fun learning experience for our younger Wildcats! 👏🐾

We are grateful for opportunities like this that support student wellness, healthy habits, and hands-on learning experiences for our Wildcats.
